Truth-for-Treats

Growing up we didn't celebrate the usual Halloween traditions, you know costumes and Trick-or-Treating. I remember the reasons behind it but over the years and becoming a Mom, I also began to wonder the best approach towards celebrating Halloween.

As Christ followers, we aren't called to be OF this world but to live IN it. So for me, engaging in a holiday I don't personally see the point of, doesn't mean I blow off the entire day and traditions all together, instead, I've been challenged by this...

How can we honor God through it?

On Halloween Day 2021 as kids all hollered out their desires for the day, I prayed over being faithful and fruitful, God gave me this...

I informed my kiddos we could get dressed up and go visit people HOWEVER we would give a TRUTH from God's Word if they desired to receive a TREATS!

I got a few grumbles, but then as we began creating our truths (Isaiah 41:10 & Hebrews 13:5) it became a beautiful way to remember no matter what, we can glorify God always!

We had fun dressing up and enjoyed the abundance of treats and pray the truths shared reveal our Mighty Lord!!

Thus inspired me to further the celebration of God’s Truth every chance we get for all holidays / occasions.

The past year I began to dabble with different designs to be colored & decorated with your own special style and the unique opportunity to share God’s love just as Christ did for us!
