Hump Day or Clump Day?
Wednesdays are known as ‘Hump Day’ – celebrating your hurdle over the first part of the week – yay! But what about when all the days just blur together? It’s one big giant Clump Day!
A friend shared with me the other day that her husband confessed that he felt he was living out the 1993 Bill Murray movie, Ground Hog Day, where each day is repeated, over and over again!
Show of hands if you’ve been feeling that way?
Whether you feel this is your ‘new norm’, let’s get over the hump of this week together!
Here are THREE ideas for you to thrive today instead of just survive!!
1) PRAY & Choose JOY Today!
I made this #1 because this should always be how we begin each and every day! Choosing to be joyful the whole day isn’t just decided and carried out right away in the morning, its a constant reminder that we need to push for! The best way to put this into play is to first begin your day in PRAYER!
Prayerful hearts lead to joyful attitudes!
So if you’ve already started your morning and it’s hitting a spiral – STOP! PRAY & CHOOSE JOY TODAY!
2) Pick One NEW Activity to Keep!
Maybe you’ve been wanting to plant a garden? Read a book? Try a new workout? Or even begin a tradition with your family? Make dinner with your kiddos? Take an adventure outside? Well there is NO better time to start than now!!
Whether you’re choosing an activity alone or with your family try to think outside the box! Get creative! And have FUN with it!!
Creativity stems from desires deep within.
3) Find One Old Habit to Throw Away!
We all have at least ONE thing we know we need to kick out of our daily routine, right? And if we are adding a NEW one we should probably be free of one that’s already existing!
And don’t eliminate something that will be an easy task – CHALLENGE yourself today! Rid your life of unnecessary clutter!
Being frugal can mean simplifying not just simple finds.
“This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!”
– Psalm 118:24
Heavenly Father this is the day You have made, may we rejoice and be glad in it! Keep the Enemy far away from this wonderful day You’ve given us! Thank you! In Your Precious Name, Amen.
