Hey! Me again!

Before we dig into what’s next, I thought it best to tell you a little about myself! My name is Candace Alford! It is very nice to meet you!

I am married to the most ruggedly handsome farmer/rancher /seed salesman for sure in the Midwest, but probably everywhere! We’ve been married for almost 9 years! We are blessed with 3 wonderfully weird kiddos, and I am very thankful to be a full-time Stay-At-Home-Mom (SAHM). We have lived on my husband’s family farm for almost 4 years now.

We have the most lovable yellow lab, Dobbie, our newest member of the family, a 19-year-old horse, Traveler and a Tomcat that comes and goes as he pleases (typical cat), Tweetie. And also, livestock (but we don’t take the time to name them all, it just hurts too much when we have to sell them, just as Jane!)

I am also a fitness instructor (Zumba, Kickboxing and Kids Cardio), women/children ministry enthusiast, speaker when called, social butterfly and an eager Child of God!

As I shared in my ‘Hello World’ post about why I started a blog, now I will tell you what exactly I will be sharing with you!

The topics that I am anxiously awaiting to cover include:

Faith / Family Farm / Fitness / Frugal Finds

I have learned most times that when I plan, God laughs. You’ve heard that right? So I will do my best not to over plan, which is my tendency!

So, here is the deal, I promise to post a NEW blog each week, pertaining to the categories above. Whether it is a written article or a video, you’ll have to wait and see!

I’ll also post daily encouragement through my social media to keep you plugged in on day-to-day life!

The weekends will be post-free, as I desperately cherish my family time and strongly encourage yours as well!

The OCD in me has special themes already laid out for each day of the week and I would love to stick to that (for preparation as well as my own sanity), but I also pray that the Holy Spirit moves me in ways much bigger than MY PLANS, ones that will inspire and encourage YOU as you read!

I promise to share raw and real life experience wearing all my hats and encourage and serve you as best I can, just as Christ came to serve us! (Matthew 20:28)

That is my sole purpose for this blog; that you will gladly join me on this journey and COME ALIVE!
